Implant Space Preparation technically goes hand-in-hand with Pre-Prosthetic Alignment.  Again, the most ideal restorative treatment can be accomplished when the teeth and, in the case of implants, related spaces are in their most ideal position.  In the case of replacing missing teeth with implant-supported crowns, it is imperative that the implant site is prepared with the correct amount of space for implant placement.  Every effort is made to direct the forces on an implant-supported crown along the long axis of the implant.  The proper alignment of adjacent and opposing teeth, and the most ideal bite relationship maximizes the longevity of the implants while enhancing the final esthetic result.
